The Design to Value (DtV) team drives enterprise-wide value creation by enabling sustained productivity, simplification, and harmonization across raw materials, packaging, recipes, and processes. As a Senior Specialist, you will provide consulting-style support to DtV initiatives and help internalize capabilities traditionally sourced externally.
Position Overview
This role is a core member of the DtV team within Mars Snacking Global R&D. You will support value creation initiatives through product tear downs, benchmarking, analytics, insight development, and operational program delivery while collaborating with cross-functional teams across R&D, Supply, and Procurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Analytics Lead to identify DtV opportunity areas regionally and globally
- Identify data gaps and develop plans using internal and external resources
- Conduct product tear downs and diagnostics across materials, packaging, and processes
- Benchmark internal and external best practices to inform DtV initiatives
- Develop compelling narratives and presentations for stakeholders
- Support PMO and leadership in program governance and delivery
- Collaborate with cross-functional and regional/global subject matter experts
- Contribute to internal consulting playbooks and best-practice documentation
- Track and report KPIs including savings, growth, sustainability, and simplification
- Provide operational support to ensure pace, quality, and alignment with objectives
- Upskill team members and stakeholders on DtV tools and methodologies
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in consulting, operations, or project management
- Experience within CPG, manufacturing, or related industries
- Hands-on experience with product tear downs, benchmarking, and value diagnostics
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Experience supporting cross-functional teams and managing priorities
- Client-facing or internal consulting experience preferred
Compensation
Base Pay Range (US): USD $101,120 – $139,040 annually
