As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will support the Finance department by ensuring accurate billing, compliance, and efficient financial operations.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Finance, this role plays a key part in managing hotel assets, maintaining organized accounting records, and supporting financial operations in line with Fairmont and Accor standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate invoices for groups, events, corporate accounts, and long-stay guests
- Verify contracts, banquet event orders, and rate agreements before billing
- Ensure timely distribution of invoices to clients and internal departments
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up to ensure timely payment
- Maintain AR ageing reports and escalate overdue accounts
- Liaise with clients to resolve billing inquiries professionally
- Reconcile guest and city ledger accounts daily
- Prepare month-end AR reports for Finance leadership
- Support audits by maintaining organized and compliant records
- Ensure compliance with Accor credit policies and approval processes
- Maintain accurate client profiles in PMS and financial systems
- Protect guest data in line with GDPR and privacy standards
- Collaborate with Sales, Events, and Front Office teams
- Provide financial clarity on group blocks, deposits, and billing instructions
- Perform clerical tasks and maintain spreadsheets
- Handle customer inquiries and provide accurate invoices and statements
- Report unusual financial occurrences to management
- Cross-train within the Finance department and perform other assigned duties
Qualifications
- Accounting experience or degree in a related field
- Previous hotel accounting experience preferred
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Compensation
Hourly Pay: $27.00 – $30.00 (based on experience)
