Gilmore, a Control Devices, LLC company, is seeking an experienced Assembly & Test Specialist to support hydraulic control valve assembly and testing operations. This role provides subject matter expertise, guides internal and external teams, and interacts with customers to ensure high safety, quality, and production standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform assembly and testing activities per SOPs, safety rules, and quality standards
- Identify and communicate documentation or process gaps
- Train technicians in assembly, testing procedures, equipment use, safety, and documentation
- Update and communicate changes to Work Instructions (WIs) and SOPs
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Point of Contact (POC) for control valve assembly and testing
- Interface with internal and external customers on technical aspects of products and testing
- Promote a culture of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) compliance and continuous improvement
- Perform other duties as assigned
Candidate Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred
- 10+ years experience in hydraulic control valve assembly and testing
- 2+ years of R&D or valve qualification testing experience
- Strong knowledge of pressure testing, equipment safety, and documentation
- Ability to troubleshoot, teach, and communicate technical concepts
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, lift, push, pull for 8–12 hours/day; lift up to 50 lbs
- Capability to use vision, hearing, and office equipment effectively
- Ability to wear required PPE including steel-toe shoes and safety glasses
- Manufacturing environment with machinery, testing equipment, and testing fluids
- Occasional overtime as needed
