Location: New York City
Work Model: In-office (5 days/week)
Experience: 5–7 years

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of network security engineers
• Serve as lead engineer/architect for network security solutions including firewalls, VPN/SASE, NDR, NAC, and web application protection
• Design, configure, and manage advanced security configurations across local and global environments
• Ensure compliance with PCI DSS, HIPAA, GDPR, and other regulatory standards
• Partner with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to securely integrate cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Develop and enforce zero-trust architectures and network segmentation strategies
• Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability analysis, and penetration testing; recommend and implement remediation plans
• Develop training materials and conduct security awareness sessions for internal stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
• 5–7 years hands-on network security experience in regulated environments
• Proven experience leading or managing security engineering teams
• Strong leadership mindset with mentoring and talent development skills

Technical Expertise

• Palo Alto Networks firewalls, WAFs, DDoS protection
• Network segmentation and zero-trust platforms (Illumio, Guardicore, VMware NSX/NSX-T, etc.)
• SASE and CASB solutions (Prisma Access, Zscaler, Netskope)
• Network Detection and Response (Darktrace, ExtraHop, Vectra)
• Cloud networking expertise in AWS, Azure, and/or GCP

Preferred Certifications

• CISSP
• CCNA / CCNP (Routing & Switching or Security)
• Palo Alto Networks PCSNE
• Security+
