Salary: $85,000 – $95,000 per year

GMHC is looking for a talented and experienced Manager, Content & Storytelling to lead content across newsletters, blogs, fundraising appeals, press materials, and website copy. This is a hands-on role for a strong writer who can shape and tell our story with clarity, impact, and heart.

As the world’s first HIV/AIDS service organization, GMHC is in the middle of a website redesign and organizational rebrand. You’ll lead the content side of both initiatives and help bring our direct response fundraising work in-house.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Own and manage the editorial calendar across all channels
• Write and edit high-visibility content for newsletters, blogs, and campaigns
• Lead content strategy for website redesign and organizational rebrand
• Develop fundraising appeals and direct response content
• Create press materials and website copy that reflect GMHC’s mission
• Ensure all content is clear, engaging, and jargon-free

Required Skills & Experience

• Excellent writing and editing skills with strong attention to detail
• Experience managing editorial calendars and content strategy
• Background in storytelling, communications, or content marketing
• Experience with fundraising or direct response content is a plus
• Ability to translate complex topics into clear, accessible language
